The building, which is an extension of the Mayor's Office designed by Gábor Preisich, stands in the park of the neighboring Fuchs Castle, embraced by the trees there. The building forms a transition between the castle park and the lean modernist block.
The restaurant opens up to the park both visually and physically, becoming a part of it. The constantly changing colour and quality of the copper is connected to the brick-clad mass of the Office as a living tissue. The building is part of the renewal concept of the main square and its surroundings. In 2011, the building was exhibited in Brussels as part of the “European Copper in Architecture Award 15”.
