“…be built up into a spiritual house…” /1 Peter 2:5/

 

For us, the church is the meeting place of the community. The church is the place and time for the congregation, the community, and the personal encounter with each other and with God. The church is the framework for this. If there is no encounter, if there is no congregation, then there is no church. The stones, the building blocks, are ourselves, whom God has shaped to fit into His “structure.” Everyone – as in a building – has their own place according to their talents, faith, and dedication.

 

The building, set in a park-like environment, surrounds a protected inner courtyard. Taking advantage of the terrain, the church and the pastor's office are located on the upper level, accessible from the street, and the congregation's living spaces are located on the garden level. The levels are made homely by open, airy spaces filled with light.
